Jennifer Geist is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores transformation, perception, and the emotional spaces we move through but rarely name.
Her practice is rooted in layering, both physical and conceptual. Through texture, symbolism, and movement, Jennifer creates work that asks the viewer to slow down and engage inwardly. Rather than offering fixed meanings, her pieces invite interpretation. What one person sees may be entirely different from what another feels, and that openness is intentional.
Much of her work exists in the space between destruction and renewal. Themes of healing, evolution, consciousness, and becoming recur across her collections, often expressed through recurring visual motifs such as eyes, molecular forms, and contemplative figures. These elements function as anchors, guiding the viewer while still allowing room for personal reflection.
Jennifer’s background as both an artist and a professional hair colorist has deeply influenced her approach to making work. Years spent working closely with people, listening, observing, and translating emotion into form have shaped a practice that is intuitive, relational, and tactile. The studio is not separate from life. It is an extension of it.
Her work has been exhibited, commissioned, and installed in both public and private spaces, including healthcare environments, retail galleries, murals, and city-sponsored public art projects. Whether experienced on a large scale or in an intimate setting, her work is meant to be lived with.
Jennifer currently works from her studio in Texas, where she continues to build an evolving body of work that prioritizes authenticity, depth, and connection.
